- Knowledge of current technology and techniques in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data management and the preparation of GIS related products and services at a high level of accomplishment.
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies associated with spatial information, geographic Information systems (GIS), georesources & natural resource data management and associated products and services
- Prepare written and verbal reports relating to geographic information products and services where required.
- Assist in providing technical advice to departmental officers and customers in the field of mapping and spatial data management and associated products and services.
- Participate in the maintenance and provision of spatial information through the production and development of cartographic products and services
- Work independently and/or within a team environment by interacting with staff on a project basis to ensure that objectives are completed in a timely, appropriate, and effective manner.
- Contribute to the creation of innovative solutions and efficient processes associated with mapping and spatial data management.
- Knowledge or experience in the creation of Web Mapping Service would be beneficial but not mandatory.
- Working knowledge of Feature Manipulation Engine or Python coding would be beneficial but not mandatory.
